Realistic 3D models are essential for any Augmented Reality experience.
If you already have 3D assets, Ocavu's proprietary 3D model pipeline makes it easy to quickly convert and optimize your 3D assets for use in AR.
For those that do not have existing 3D assets, Ocavu's in-house content authoring team and provider network can create top quality digital assets.
Natively Ocavu Portal supports the following 3d model formats:
- GLTF/GLB (preferred)
- OBJ + MTL (also known as Wavefront)
- FBX
- DAE (also known as Collada)
- STL
Some 3D model formats have many different ambiguous types, which can prevent the importer from loading correctly 100% of the time. This is often the case for FBX, because many different companies have vendor-specific flavors of the file type. If you have trouble importing your models, please reach out to Ocavu for assistance.
